Kodiak Attack Review: Kodiak pre-workouts delivers everything it promises

kodiak attack review

So far we’ve yet to come across a DMHA pre-workout supplement that’s disappointed. While all of the products we’ve tried do vary, with some relying on just energy and focus, and others working in performance and pump, they’ve all been very effective. Over the past few weeks we’ve actually been putting yet another DMHA pre-workout to the test to bring you today’s Kodiak Attack review.

Energy and focus from start to finish

Like most pre-workouts using this year’s hit stimulant, Kodiak Attack is very powerful when it comes to energy and focus. The two main effects kick in extremely well the usual 10 to 20 minutes after taking the supplement. It’s hard to say which effect you feel first, as both come on at around the same time. Regardless of the order they come, Attack will have you walking in the gym doors overflowing with energy and focused solely on the task at hand.

While we have seen both energy and focus done quite well over the past few months in a number of other effective pre-workouts, the combination is a little bit different in Attack. The main thing that separates it is that its energy doesn’t really die down. With a lot of other DMHA pre-workouts we’ve noticed that the energy is good, however it does fade during your workout and doesn’t seem to keep up with the focus that lasts right to the end. In Kodiak Attack the energy manages to stay consistent throughout, holding at around the same level it kicks in at from start to finish.

The two star effects of Attack are not only great when you describe their quality individually, but they also amplify one another. The pre-workout’s energy makes sure you power through your workout set after set, with the focus keeping you in the zone and encouraging 110% effort in each and every set.

Natural, controllable type energy

It is also worth mentioning that the energy is powerful, although it’s not the hard hitting, stimulant kind. You won’t feel it kick in as much as some of the more stimulant-packed products out there with the likes of 500mg of caffeine, although its consistent level of energy more than makes up for that. Attack’s almost calm energy feels much more natural and controllable, which in our opinion is better than the stimulant powered type experiences. It gives you a lot more room to concentrate, enjoy Attack’s incredible level of focus, and really push yourself instead of rush through.

Painfully enjoyable pump

While Kodiak Attack’s combination of strong, consistent energy and laser focus is already enough for it to top most pre-workout competitors, there is one more positive to it. On top of its two main features, the supplement also has a good amount of pump to it. It’s not quite on the level of some of the dedicated pump pre-workouts available, but it packs enough to get you a pump noticeably bigger and quicker than normal.

If we had to describe its type of pump we’d say it’s definitely the filling kind. Attack simply makes it much easier to get the blood flowing and the muscles you’re working pumped faster. When you combine that with its energy and focus, you end up with a mix of effects that make for a very addictive workout experience. While the stimulant side keeps you energized and focused on wrecking your workout, the pump adds a painfully enjoyable side to the whole thing.

Performance and endurance not missed

With so many great things to say about Kodiak Attack you may be wondering if they’re any bad. For us there is just one thing missing from the product and that is a performance or endurance side. The pre-workout doesn’t comfortably or powerfully get you through an intense and/or heavy type workout as well as the likes of Muscle Elements PreCre, DVST8 White Cut, or even Pre Jym.

Attack’s long lasting energy does do the best it can, but it doesn’t quite offer that refueling or intra-workout recovery effect we’ve seen in some of the more performance based pre-workouts. With all that said the supplement’s balance is incredibly competitive as it is. If Kodiak actually added anything to it we imagine it’d take away from one or more of the areas it currently excels in, so with that in mind it’s very complete pre-workout.

Extremely competitive complete pre-workout

Even though Kodiak Attack doesn’t cover all of the bases it covers most, delivering incredibly well on energy and focus, and relatively competitively with pump, which are in fact all the effects it promises right on its label. All of its upsides easily outweigh its one downside, and when we get down to it there are only handful of products out there at the moment that we’d put ahead of it. There are actually even less if we just compare energy, focus, and pump pre-workouts.

Usually we don’t talk about price, however with Attack we do feel it is somewhat relevant especially since almost all of the supplements we’d place ahead of it are quite pricey. For those that haven’t seen Kodiak’s pre-workout available anywhere, the brand itself has it priced at $29.99 when you use its coupon code “ATTACK“. The product also has 25 servings per tub making it just as competitive price wise as it is in the gym, with our review based on a heaping scoop which there are about 20 of per tub.
