Aminolabs expands its capabilities and potential with the acquisition of Zoka Pharma

From Stack3d
Aminolabs X Zoka Pharma

Aminolabs Nutrition, a reputable contract manufacturer in the health and nutrition space, has announced a major move to expand its reach in Europe by acquiring Valencia-based Zoka Pharma. Known for producing powders, tablets, and capsules, Aminolabs already operates at scale, being responsible for many major supplement companies across the continent as well as some from outside of the region that want to be made locally over importing.

Zoka Pharma brings in two state-of-the-art facilities with room for growth, currently running at just 30% capacity. The company generates €11 million ($12.8m USD) in annual turnover and employs around 50 people. Aminolabs plans to double that figure in Spain over the next two years with its experience and client base, but support goes both ways. Zoka offers access to specialized formats and markets, including gels, liquids, and probiotics, as well as infant and pet nutrition, which will set up Aminolabs for expansion into some completely new segments.

The strategic deal follows Aminolabs’ 2023 management buyout from Waterland, backed by LRM, and supports its target of €150 million in group revenue within two years. If you’re a European brand looking for a reputable manufacturer, then AminoLabs just gave you even more reason to reach out. That also applies to international companies looking to get into the market, as having your products made locally is the best way to go when tackling Europe.
