HallPass’ Chocolate Candy Pieces will have about a third the calories of M&M’s

Hallpass Chocolate Candy Pieces

We recently introduced HallPass through its impressively lean Peanut Cups, although the brand’s ambitions do stretch beyond a single better-for-you chocolate snack. The David Protein sister company is approaching candy like zero-sugar alternatives approached soda, believing consumers still want familiar treats but but deserve the opportunity to have them with substantially less sugar and dramatically fewer calories.

HallPass has just announced the second product it has planned for that mission with Chocolatey Candy Pieces, recreating the familiar M&M’s experience of smooth chocolatey centers inside colorful, crunchy shells. Despite coming in a sizeable 43g bag, the entire package has only 70 calories and a single gram of sugar, compared to the same amount of classic chocolate M&M’s where you’d get 28g of sugar and 206 calories.

Like its Peanut Cups, HallPass achieves those significantly better macros in Chocolatey Candy Pieces by using EPG, the plant-based fat technology that has drastically fewer calories per gram than fat. All of the promising, better-for-you, and undoubtedly delicious snacks from the brand will be arriving at the end. They’ll be very easy to get your hands on too, as HallPass is starting strong with availability in Walmart.
