As mentioned, the innovations are only related by taste, as they both feature that classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter. They are, as you can tell from their names, radically different in format, with Protein Wafer sandwiching peanut butter protein cream between crispy wafer layers with 12g of protein and 268 calories. Peanut Cups has two pieces per pack, each combining a creamy peanut butter filling and a thick, rich, milk-chocolate-flavored coating, for a very similar 12g of protein, less than 2g of sugar, and 282 calories.
It’s not often you see any sort of company come out with a series of protein snacks linked by flavor, as it happens a lot in powder supplements but almost never in functional foods.
