David Protein’s sister company, HallPass, was created by Peter Rahal and Stuffed Puffs founder Michael Tierney to give familiar candy formats the same disruptive rethink David brought to protein bars. Rather than adding protein, it uses lower-calorie fat EPG to preserve the indulgent experience while dramatically reducing calories. That began with Peanut Cups, pairing a chocolatey shell with a salty-sweet peanut center that has only 70 calories across a two-piece pack.
In addition to the delicious Peanut Cups, HallPass has Peanut Creme Crispy Wafers, layering crisp wafers with chocolatey peanut creme, and the better-for-you M&M’s, Chocolatey Candy Pieces, putting colorful crunchy shells around chocolatey centers. The complete trio is now available at Walmart nationwide, where HallPass has kept everything incredibly consistent, with each pack being just 1.5oz, having 1g of sugar, 70 calories, and a general candy-like price of $1.82.
