Apollon Nutrition is taking its Hot Rice Gourmet Cereal and essentially combining it with the concept of its 50/50 Formula protein powder in 50/50 Carb Fuel. The three-time Brand Of The Year has developed the supplement around an even split of white rice and sweet potato, bringing two familiar whole-food carbohydrate sources together in one convenient powder for a balanced source of carbohydrates.
The name spells out the central feature, as exactly half of the carbohydrate base comes from white rice or rice flour, and the other half from nutrient-rich sweet potato. Apollon Nutrition also emphasizes easy digestion and comfortable consumption, and it will, of course, be flavored. 50/50 Carb Fuel will have two tastes to choose from right out of the gate, including the classic combination, Chocolate Hazelnut.
We don’t have the precise breakdown of nutrition at the moment, although knowing the sources, we don’t imagine it’ll be too far off Apollon Nutrition’s own Hot Rice Gourmet Cereal with about 30g of carbohydrates from a 40g serving. It is a smart play by the brand to bring over the 50/50 Formula concept that its fans know so well, into real food carbohydrates, an area of the industry that has been growing.
