Avvatar has been getting increasingly creative with its protein powders, recently adding the locally inspired Rose Milk and Badam Milk to Performance Whey. The Indian brand’s next move puts emphasis on formula, pairing familiar types of whey protein with an alternative approach to sweetness. It has introduced the simply named Whey Protein sweetened with a combination of monk fruit and stevia.
The all-new supplement from Avvatar blends whey concentrate and premium whey isolate, with the Strawberry Delight flavor providing 28g of protein in a 35g serving, 2.8g of carbohydrates, all sugar, 1.7g of fat, and 138 calories. The one other option is Cold Coffee with a slightly lower 26.5g of protein, 4g of sugar, 1.6g of fat, and 136 calories. Neither flavor has added sugar, despite both containing some naturally occurring sugar, and while they are naturally sweetened, they have a little bit extra for taste.
Avvatar has thrown in real inclusions or features in its newly released Whey Protein, using freeze-dried strawberry chunks in Strawberry Delight and actual coffee powder in Cold Coffee. The little extras give the varieties genuine and accurate taste, especially the strawberry. Both come in 1kg bags with a total of 29 servings, and they’re available starting this week from the brand’s website at ₹5.55 (0.06 USD).
