ESN modernizes its flagship stimulant pre-workout in Crank 2.0

Esn Crank 2

Simply calling ESN’s latest version of its Crank pre-workout an update really undersells what the team has achieved in the sequel supplement. The original was a broad 19g formula with a sizeable stimulant hit and several grams of amino acids, whereas the newly released Crank 2.0 is a leaner 13g combination that shifts its priorities, preserving some longtime components while substantially increasing, replacing, and completely removing others.

From top to bottom, ESN’s new Crank 2.0, as it’s been officially titled, has the same solid 6g of citrulline malate, providing around 4g of actual citrulline to drive better muscle pumps. Interestingly, the brand has completely removed arginine, a common component of pre-workouts in Europe. In place of that is a premium pump-enhancer by way of patented CitraPeak at 200mg per serving. As for performance and endurance support, you get twice as much taurine at 2g.

Moving into the more sensory ingredients and benefits of the revamped Crank 2.0 pre-workout, for focus, there is a solid single gram of tyrosine, 15mg of synephrine, ginseng, schisandra, and a mild 200mg of caffeine. ESN actually leaves room for a double serving, as two times any of the components doesn’t push them to an amount we haven’t seen before, with highlights like 12g of citrulline malate, 2g of tyrosine, and a strong 200mg of caffeine.

ESN has really overhauled its long-running stimulant pre-workout, making several changes but at the same time keeping that familiar balance of pumps, performance, and energy and a similar level of efficacy across each benefit. Crank 2.0 is really a modern competitor that can now be purchased straight from the brand’s online store at €33.90 (39.44 USD) for a tub of 20 servings in four flavors, or if you just want to try it out, there is a sample at €2.90 (3.37 USD).
