Kosso develops Protein Milkshake as a similarly complete and better value alternative to whey protein

Kosso Nutrition Protein Milkshake

With the cost of whey climbing sharply, sports nutrition companies have been searching for ways to keep protein powders affordable without simply cutting the amount of protein. Dutch brand Kosso Nutrition has come up with a particularly interesting alternative in Protein Milkshake, a completely whey-free powder that turns to two other quality animal-based sources to deliver a respectable protein shake at a competitive price.

The relatively straightforward formula combines milk concentrate and egg white isolate, providing a complete profile of 18 amino acids without soy, collagen, or other cheap, incomplete sources. In a standard 30g serving, those two provide an impressive 25g of protein depending on the flavor, with the test of the nutrition profile in the likes of Vanilla including 1.4g of carbohydrates, under a gram of that sugar, and 112 calories.

Kosso Nutrition’s Protein Milkshake comes in four flavors with Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, and Chocolate, each packed into a 1kg tub providing around 33 servings. As mentioned, the supplement has been designed as an alternative dairy-based protein powder that has great nutrition and value. The price does indeed reflect that, with the 2.2lb jar costing €27.50 (31.95 USD), over €10 less per kilogram than the brand’s regular whey protein.
