Nutrex stepped outside of its harder-edged sports nutrition supplements and introduced something more approachable with its Essentials Series. It began with Creatine For Women, Creatine Soft Chews, Pre-Workout Essentials, and Whole Food Protein, then expanded with standalone creatine monohydrate and Creatine + Hydration stick packs. The steadily growing collection is now preparing to enter an entirely different area with its first functional food.
The product leading Nutrex into that side of the health and nutrition industry is an extension of Whole Food Protein, its dairy-free protein powder providing 25g of protein from beef isolate, collagen peptides, chicken, egg, pea, and brown rice protein. The supplement is true to its name and comes in two classic flavors: Chocolate Ice Cream and Vanilla Milkshake, and those same two flavors are being carried over to the upcoming Nutrex Whole Food Protein Bar.
Only a few details have been revealed about the protein snack, including a preview confirming a respectable 15g of protein per bar, from a similar set of sources, with a complete coating and crispy pieces throughout. Nutrex doesn’t plan to launch the Whole Food Protein Bar for another few months in 2027, although the debut will be significant, as it’s apparently going to be through a major retailer, expanding the Essential Series’ range and reach.
