While you may know Oikos from its strong presence here in the US, it is also a heavyweight competitor over in Japan with a great selection of higher protein products, including yogurts and drinks with availability in the country’s enormous convenience-store network. Its beverage business moved up another level in March with Oikos Pro, a more performance-focused 25g protein drink that debuted in a classic Rich Vanilla.
About half a year later, Oikos in Japan is adding a second, equally traditional flavor to its Pro Protein Shake with Rich Chocolate, rolling out across the country later this month. It’s the most common counterpart to vanilla, where you get that all-too-familiar rich chocolate flavor, and here it’s mixed into a smooth milkshake. Oikos Pro Protein Shake comes with 25g of high-quality protein, a few added vitamins, no added sugar, and for the Chocolate flavor, you’re looking at a moderate 9.6g of carbohydrates, and 138 calories
