Optimum and Wisconsin Brewing craft a non-alcoholic beer packed with 10g of protein

Optimum Nutrition Championsips High Protein Brew

Optimum Nutrition has been unusually active around protein lately, introducing the milk-based Essential Protein Powder and following it with an ultra-filtered shake containing added fiber. The industry giant is now taking that run somewhere genuinely unexpected, stepping out of conventional sports nutrition and into non-alcoholic beer with a limited protein-packed brew called ChampionSips, created in collaboration with the Wisconsin Brewing Company.

The genuinely unique innovation from Optimum Nutrition is brewed with malted barley and hops, and crafted to deliver the crisp, refreshing character of an American pilsner. The key difference is that it has a protein twist to it all, with 10g per can from pea and rice protein. There are some carbohydrates in Optimum’s ChampionSips at 11g alongside the 10g of protein, zero fat, and a calorie count of 90, which is a similar balance to a typical protein bar.

Optimum Nutrition is positioning ChampionSips for everything from tailgates and happy hours to occasions where consumers want to socialize without committing to traditional beer. The unusual release is available now through the brand’s official online store in four-packs, only while supplies last. The cost of a pack of four 16oz cans is $14.99, coming out to just under $4 each, and buyers must be 21 or older, with shipping unavailable to a few states.
