Barebells recently brought the coffeehouse to its German Soft Protein Bar selection with Espresso Swirl, exclusively available in that particular market, and just a few weeks later, it is already moving on to something more in tune with the season of giving. Barebells is no stranger to limited-time Christmas creations and winter editions, and Germany is getting precisely that here in the middle of September with a Spekulatius flavor of the Soft Protein Bar.
The new and currently exclusive Spekulatius Barebells Soft Protein Bar, or Speculoos as the brand is also promoting it as, takes inspiration from the classic Spekulatius spiced biscuit, bringing together cinnamon and winter spices. It has the product’s usual soft and smooth center covered in a rich milk chocolate outer with a respectable 16g of protein per bar, 19g of carbohydrates, 2g of that sugar, no added sugar, 8.5g of fat, and a reasonable calorie count of 202.
The familiar Christmas biscuit flavor has hit the market several months out from Christmas, although that just gives fans in Germany more time to get used to it and enjoy it. The Spekulatius or again, Speculoos Barebells Soft Protein Bar, is rolling out this week, and can already be purchased directly from the brand’s German online store at €27.99 (32.33 USD) for a box of 12.
