When Monster first showed off Strawberry Shot, the idea was simple but immediately interesting. The energy drink giant took the unmistakable taste of the original green Monster Energy Drink and added a shot of sweet strawberry. We mentioned at the time that the concept left plenty of room for expansion, as if it proved successful, the brand could very easily infuse the iconic Monster taste with shots of other flavors.
In a not-so-surprising move, the company is coming out with a follow-up to Strawberry Shot in a Vanilla Shot Monster Energy Drink. Vanilla has a tendency to be both sweet and smooth, which would go nicely with the signature green taste, almost like a Monster dirty soda. Like Strawberry, Vanilla Shot will be launching in regular and zero sugar varieties, giving those who prefer minimal calories a chance to experience it.
The green Monster Energy Drink is the legendary beverage that really started the brand and its loyal fanbase, so it’s great to see it give back to the original in such a creative way, and again, it’s a way that can go in all sorts of directions. Similar to Razz Rocket Juice Monster and Ultra Aloha POG, the Vanilla Shot Monster Energy Drink will be in the company’s early 2027 drop, hitting coolers around January and February.
