Protein Wars IV, Round 1 Results: Two past champions knocked out early

protein wars

After seven days of competition, the results from the first half of round one in the 2016 Protein Wars are here. While there were quite a few contests where the winners were clear from very early on, we had just as many close battles. We actually had two matchups that finished with first and second place being separated by just 1%.

We’ll go over the results one by one with Rule One R1 Protein finishing just ahead of Gaspari’s still relatively new Precision Protein on 32%, BSN Syntha-6 Edge topping all of its opponents on 47%, and Muscletech’s Nitro-Tech Whey Gold the clear winner of its group on 43%. Last year’s champion Nutrabio WPI dominated as expected at 54%, with MAN Sports’ Clean Protein doing much the same ending on 53% against the very first Protein Wars winner, Cellucor Cor Whey.

The close finishes we had came from Pro Supps PS Whey which knocked out the 2014 Protein Wars champion Machine Whey, by 1% on 37, and Universal Ultra Whey which won by 1% as well, beating out MuscleMeds Carnivor. Dymatize ISO100 also had a fairly close race with BPI’s Best Protein, coming out on top by 5% at 40.

Definitely make sure you get your votes in again this week for the rest of the round one competitors, whether it’s for your favorite entrant or against a supplement you don’t want to see progress. The website to visit every day to take part is proteinwars.com.
