The world of fitness loses the legendary Rich Piana

Rich Piana

Ever since news broke that Rich Piana was taken into hospital a couple of weeks ago, we’ve been waiting for an update. That update has come in today from Rich Piana’s 5% Nutrition, and unfortunately, it’s not the news we wanted to hear.

The incredibly popular, unforgettable Rich Piana, has sadly passed away today on the 25th of August at 46 years of age. He will go down as a legend in the world of fitness after reaching an unimaginable amount of people with his open, honest, and informative videos and posts.

Rich Piana first got into bodybuilding at the very young age of 11 and competed in his first show only four years later. 35 years on from that early beginning, he has amassed one of the biggest followings in the fitness industry with over a million fans on Instagram and almost a million subscribers on YouTube.

The legacy of Rich Piana will no doubt live on in all of the people he reached and inspired over the years. His signature mantras “If you Love it, kill it” and “Whatever it takes!” are well worth bringing up again today as they are an excellent reflection of his relentless dedication to everything he did.
