Scitec reveals the exact amount of each protein source in its latest protein

While full transparency in protein powders is something we’re seeing more and more of in the US, it’s not that common in the European market. Transparency in proteins is where a brand discloses how much of each protein source it uses. For example, instead of just listing a blend of whey concentrate and isolate, it’d display an amount or percentage such as 80% concentrate and 20% isolate.

This week, the massive European brand Scitec Nutrition has actually released an image that essentially turns its most recent protein powder into a transparent product. Previously we only know that the brand’s 100% Whey Protein Professional + ISO features a blend of whey isolate and concentrate, with no numbers to confirm how much of each source is used.

The picture Scitec Nutrition has shared reveals that 27% of its powder is whey concentrate and 65% is the higher quality, faster absorbing whey isolate. That means of the supplement’s 30g serving, 8.1g is whey protein concentrate and more than twice that is whey protein isolate at 19.5g, with the two yielding a combined 24g of pure protein per serving.
