Make of Trutein comes out with a fully transparent plant-based protein powder

body nutrition plentiplants

Body Nutrition is mostly known for its original and fully transparent protein powder Trutein, which has been on the market for an impressively long period of time. This week, however, the brand is in the headlines regarding a separate supplement, albeit for the same category, with the all-new plant-based protein powder PlentiPlants.

The latest Body Nutrition product provides 21g of protein per serving, from five plant-based sources in pea, pumpkin seed, hemp, almond, and sunflower protein. Just like with Trutein, PlentiPlants is a fully transparent protein powder that tells you how much of each source makes up that 21g of protein.

Full transparency in protein powders is not something you often see, even more so when it comes to plant-based formulas. As for the specific breakdown of Body Nutrition PlentiPlants’ 21g of protein, more than half of it comes from pea protein at 12.6g. The rest is 3.15g of pumpkin seed, 2.1g each of sunflower and hemp, and 1.05g almond protein.

The remaining numbers making up PlentiPlants’ nutrition profile are quite lean in 4g of carbohydrates with only 1.5g of that sugar, 4g of fat, and a calorie count of 140. Body Nutrition has also thrown in additional enzymes into this one to support digestion with a 50mg blend of protease, peptidase, and hemicellulase.

Body Nutrition’s PlentiPlants is now available for purchase through its website in Coconut Almond, Chocolate, and Vanilla flavors. It is currently only in stock in single-serving sachets priced at $1.99; however, the brand does have 2lb tubs of PlentiPlants in production that are due to be in stock within the next two weeks and will cost $39.99 each.
