It was just yesterday that ANS Performance teased its first-ever, on-the-go snack, with no real details, just that it looks to be coming in traditional protein bar form. We did suspect that based on the long-running brand’s most recent efforts, there was a good chance it’d have some sort of twist to it, potentially being a keto-friendly protein bar.
Full details have now surfaced on that product, thanks to the Canadian retailer Supplement Superstore adding the item to its website in preparation for its arrival. ANS Performance’s edible product is the Keto WOW Snack Bar, and just as we suspected, there is a keto-friendly twist to it like the majority of releases we’ve seen from the brand in the past year or so.
The Keto WOW Snack Bar is made with a blend of fats, including MCTs, peanut butter, coconut oil powder, and cocoa and sunflower seed butter. It also has whey concentrate, milk isolate, and pea protein-powered crisps to give it a good amount of protein and the sugar alcohol erythritol for taste. The end result is a snack that’s high in fat, moderate in protein, and low in carbohydrates.
The exact nutrition profile for one of ANS Performance’s 40g Keto Wow Snack Bars is led by 14g of fat, followed by 8g of protein, 14g of carbohydrates with 10g of that fiber and a gram sugar, and 180 calories. Those numbers are expected to vary across each of the product’s flavors, of which there are four to choose from, and they all sound quite tasty.
