SmartSweets brings its low-sugar twist to classic red licorice

The creative and delicious, low-sugar candy company SmartSweets, has introduced another tasty treat, where it puts its healthy spin on a truly classic candy. The brand’s latest creation is SmartSweets Red Twists, which are low sugar berry-flavored licorice twists. They are also naturally flavored, plant-based, and made without any added sugar or sugar alcohols.

SmartSweets Red Twists come with only a gram of fat per 50g bag, a gram of protein, and a total of 40g of carbohydrates with 12g of that fiber, 10g allulose, and 2g sugar, giving it a net carb count of 18g. The total number of calories in a bag of the sweet Red Twists is 110, which is very reasonable compared to typical red licorice and would work great as an occasional treat.

You can order Red Twists through SmartSweets’ US online store, where a pack of 12 bags is $39.48, working out to $3.29 each. There is also a limited edition Red Twists Snack From Home Kit.
