PhD’s popular Diet Whey gets a plant-based spin-off with slightly different extras

The widely available UK supplement company PhD Nutrition has put together a spin-off of one of its most known products, the whey-powered protein powder Diet Whey. The spin-off is named ‘Diet Plant’, which is, of course, a plant-based, vegan-friendly version, that just like Diet Whey, comes with a few extra ingredients outside of the sources of protein.

Each serving of PhD Nutrition’s all-new Diet Plant packs 18 to 20g of protein from a blend of the plant protein sources pea and soy protein with 1.2 to 2.3g of carbohydrates, only 100mg of sugar, under a gram of fat, and 92 to 94 calories. As for those extra ingredients, you also get a light 250mg each of CLA and carnitine, and 100mg of green tea extract.

Those additional ‘diet’ features aren’t the same as what you get in the original Diet Whey, but they are along the same lines. PhD Nutrition’s Diet Plant is available now, directly from its website in 500g and 1kg bags, both in completely recyclable packaging, priced at £14.99 (19.99 USD) and £27.99 (37.33 USD), respectively. There are three flavors to start in Belgian Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Strawberries and Cream.
