Vital Proteins releases a bar with half of its protein from collagen

vital performance protein bar

Health and wellness company Vital Proteins, known for its popular collagen supplements, has come out with an all-new high-protein snack under its Vital Performance brand. The product features a combination of different protein sources, including, of course, collagen peptides, as well as milk protein and whey isolate, which combine to provide 20g of protein per bar.

Vital Proteins’ mentions that of the Vital Performance Protein Bar’s 20g of protein, half of that is indeed from collagen. The rest of the snack’s nutrition profile consists of 11g of fat, 12 to 14g of carbohydrates with 2 to 3g of that sugar, and 230 calories. The macros range due to the three flavors available with Vanilla Coconut, Salty Chocolate Peanut, and Chocolate Almond.

The product itself features a candy bar style build with a thick, doughy center covered in crispy whey protein pieces and delicious milk, dark, or white chocolate. The Vital Performance Protein Bar does indeed look tasty, and in our experience, bars and snacks that rely on a good amount of collagen for their protein do deliver a soft, sweet, and enjoyable experience.

Vital Proteins’ says it will change the game with its Vital Performance Protein Bar, which makes us think we should grab a box. The build, however, doesn’t look as flavorful as some of our favorites, such as Barebells and its doughy center, crispy pieces, gooey layer, and sweet chocolate coating. You can grab the new Vital Proteins snack from its website at $36 for a box of 12 in any of its three flavors.
