Introducing the naturally caffeinated BAYA Energy drink from Starbucks

Starbucks Baya Energy Drink

The entries continue to roll in for the fiercely competitive energy drink category, with this week bringing a new product from a company almost everyone will be familiar with. The coffee giant Starbucks has partnered with none other than the beverage beast PepsiCo to create the BAYA Energy drink now available in convenience stores and supermarkets across the country.

Starbucks’ BAYA Energy is a carbonated beverage providing a reliable 160mg of natural caffeine for anytime energy and 90mg of the antioxidant and immunity-supporting vitamin C. The product is also made with a selection of fruit juice concentrates that vary slightly across its three different flavor options, Mango Guava, Raspberry Lime, and Pineapple Passionfruit.

BAYA Energy is not sugar-free or as low calorie as our top-rated energy drinks with 23g of carbohydrates per can, 22 to 23g of that sugar, giving you a calorie count of 90. As mentioned, the product is out and available in stores nationwide at a suggested retail price of $2.89 each, with Starbucks’ massive number of stores not set to stock the energy drink until March 1st.
