Skinny Food brings its low sugar approach to fluffy cakes and delicious doughnuts

The Skinny Food Co has created and come out with two all-new functional foods, and while we haven’t seen what they look like firsthand, they sound like some incredibly intriguing treats. Available starting today from the UK-based company are low sugar and low calorie alternatives to the familiar foods in their official names with Skinny Doughnuts and lemon-flavored Skinny Cakes.

The Skinny Food Co Skinny Doughnuts are moderately sized doughnuts with 14g of fat, 26g of carbohydrates with well under a gram of sugar, 3g of protein, and an impressive 223 calories. As for the Skinny Cakes, they’re light and fluffy cakes, weighing the same as Skinny Doughnuts at 50g a piece with 11g of fat, 27.5g of carbohydrates, under a gram of sugar, 2.75g of protein, and 200 calories.

It would’ve been great to see what the Skinny Doughnuts and Cakes look like to get an idea of the build and style, but The Skinny Food Co is known for tasty treats, and the products are not high in protein, so it’d be good to assume they taste great. The lower-calorie foods are available from the brand’s website at £2.99 for a pack of three doughnuts and £2.99 for a pack of four cakes.
