Refreshed Gold Standard Plant Protein gets a new look and formula

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Plant Protein

Sports nutrition giant Optimum Nutrition, known for its incredibly popular Gold Standard protein powders, has relaunched one of its Gold Standard supplements which has been around for almost half a decade. Back in 2017, before the surge of competitors over the past couple of years, the legacy brand entered the plant-based protein powder category with Gold Standard 100% Plant Protein.

This year, Optimum Nutrition has decided to update Gold Standard 100% Plant Protein, giving it a new look, as you can see above, more in line with the other Gold Standard products. The brand has also changed up the formula for the supplement, although the point of Gold Standard 100% Plant Protein is still very much the same, with a lean source of protein that is completely vegan-friendly.

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Plant Protein

Optimum Nutrition’s new Gold Standard 100% Plant Protein has the same macros whether you’re looking at its Rich Chocolate Fudge or Creamy Vanilla flavors, packing 24g of protein per serving from a blend of pea protein, fava bean isolate, and brown rice concentrate. That comes alongside 5g of carbohydrates with none of that sugar and 3.5g of fat, all for a reasonable 150 calories.

The rebranded, reformulated and refreshed Gold Standard 100% Plant Protein is available through Optimum Nutrition’s online store at a reasonable $34.99 for a tub of 20 servings. There is also a slightly smaller size packing a little more than half the servings at 12, and directly from the brand’s website, it’s $24.99, which isn’t as cost-effective, but a good way to try before going full-size.
