PEScience makes another protein snack featuring a more calorie-dense and nut butter-based formula

Pescience Select Go Protein Bar

PEScience’s Select Protein has expanded all across the world of protein since its release, spawning many different variants and types of flavors, innovations like Select Protein4Oats, and even a jump into the world of functional food with the Select Protein Bar. Beginning this week, the long-running brand has more than one bar on the market with the reveal and release of the Select Go Protein Bar, offering a different experience to the original Select Protein Bar.

PEScience has gone with a nut butter-based recipe for its Select Go Protein Bar, which typically brings a much softer and smoother consistency, or as the brand describes it, a “unique crumbly texture that will remind you of a next-day homemade cookie.” The nutrition profile on this one is reasonably more calorie dense, whereas the Select Protein Bar packs a moderate 15g of protein, 22g of carbohydrates, 4g of that sugar, 6g of fat, and 180 calories.

The macros filling up a single 60g Select Go Protein Bar starts with 19g of protein, a similar carbohydrate count at 21g, a much higher 15g of that sugar, and a jump in fat to 15g, obviously resulting in a heftier hit of calories at 290. Those numbers are based on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor of the second PEScience protein snack and are relatively similar in the product’s two other tastes; Chocolate Peanut Butter and celebratory Birthday Cake.

PEScience has added boxes of 12 of the Select Go Protein Bar to its online store at a regular price of $29.99 with a 10% discount available for subscriptions, bringing the cost down to $26.99. As per usual, the brand is celebrating the launch of its latest effort alongside a deal that runs through to the end of the week. The offer is, use the coupon code “INSIDER” and get boxes at $21.24, a substantial drop, perfect for anyone interested in trying it out.
