Battle Bars hits the Arnold Expo and shows off its upcoming grass-fed whey protein powder

Battle Bar Protein Powder

Functional food company Battle Bars built its name around its signature protein bar, and that’s understandable as it is absolutely delicious. The titular product is a Rice Krispies-style snack with a main body made of crispy and crunchy pieces, all covered in a solid layer of flavor. The best part about the competitor is that it isn’t overly chewy or dry, which does tend to be the case with protein bars in this particular style, but again, Battle Bars manages to dodge all of that in its snack that is well worth trying.

Battle Bars is exhibiting at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival, where it is sampling the many different flavors of its signature offering, including Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Lemon, Birthday Cake, and the uniquely caffeinated S’mores. Another feature of the brand’s booth is a preview of an upcoming innovation, and it is big news as it’s not a functional food. Battle Bars is getting ready to release its first powder format item with a grass-fed whey protein powder providing 21g of protein a serving and reasonable calories.

It does look like the brand will be pushing things on the flavor side, as you can see in the many different options for the self-titled Battle Bars. There has been one taste previewed for the Battle Bars or Battle Blends protein powder, as it’s being called, and it is Cinnamon Cereal, which is certainly not your traditional chocolate or vanilla. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, with the brand expected to make it official and drop its lean source of protein somewhere in the next month or so.
