Huel turns its higher-protein and low-carb Black Edition into an on-the-go shake

Huel Black Edition Ready To Drink

Health brand Huel provides fans with countless ways of getting clean and nutritious sources of food, whether they’re at home, preparing for the day, or out and about. It all stemmed from the original Huel Powder, a balanced meal replacement made with a plant-based recipe providing 30g of protein, around 50% more of that in carbohydrates, and 27 added vitamins and minerals. There is an on-the-go version of that in Huel Ready-To-Drink, that takes mostly the same features and puts it into a bottle.

One of the spin-offs of that original Huel Powder is Huel Black Edition, featuring that complete variety of vitamins and minerals, but nutritionally, it takes a different strategy. Compared to the original, Black Edition has more muscle-building protein and few carbohydrates, making for a leaner, higher protein alternative. The UK-based brand has now given that spin-off product the same treatment as Huel Powder, creating a convenient version of Huel Black Edition with Huel Black Edition Ready-To-Drink.

The on-the-go edition of Huel Black Edition aims to do much the same as the regular Huel Ready-To-Drink, giving you a similar sort of balance and makeup as the powder but as a beverage. For the Huel Black Edition Ready-To-Drink, that translates to 35g of protein a bottle from pea and fava bean protein, 23g of carbohydrates with a low 5.8g of that sugar, 17g of fat, a flat 400 calories, no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners, and again, all of those added vitamins and minerals.

Fans and followers of Huel can grab Huel Black Edition Ready-To-Drink starting today through its UK and German online stores, with those of you in the United States getting it at some point, but there is no set date or timeframe as of yet. Straight from huel.com you’ll pay a pricey £45 (57.14 USD) for a case of 12 500ml bottles in your choice of Chocolate or Vanilla flavors. There is also the subscription option that automatically brings the cost of the beverage down by 10% to a slightly nicer £45 (52.06 USD).
