Obvi gives a rare peek behind the curtain at some products that never came to market

Obvi Biotin Jelly Beans

Supplement brands always put out the best they can, and by that, we mean the products they roll out to market have gone back and forth about what goes into them, the formula has been tweaked and refined, and flavoring has been adjusted many times, potentially even into 100s. You also need to keep in mind that sometimes products just don’t make it to market, whether the idea couldn’t be executed, the budget wasn’t there, or production broke down; there is a mountain of reasons as to why.

The colorful lifestyle supplement company and past Brand Of The Year winner, Obvi, has peeled back the curtain and given us a sneak peek at some of the innovations it has come up with over the years but decided not to bring to market. This is a rare moment that you just never get to see, and the brand has shared some intriguing items, including delicious jelly beans infused with biotin, health and wellness-supporting dried smoothie balls, and a face mask with topical ingredients and benefits.

Obvi has gone a step further and explained why some of these innovations never happened; in reference to the biotin jelly beans, the cost of goods was too high, meaning the retail price would have been beyond what a consumer would pay. For the Smoothie Bites, there was a communication breakdown where the manufacturer just got more and more distant. Once again, it’s great getting a rare peek behind the curtain at what could’ve been, and it shows you that Obvi still clearly has its creative edge.
