Myprotein offers a familiar taste and texture in its latest functional innovation

Myprotein Crispy Square

Myprotein is home to one of the biggest selections of functional foods you’ll find in the health and nutrition space, with high protein and low calories squeezed into all sorts of different shapes and sizes. The international powerhouse doesn’t limit itself to bars either; it branches out into candy-like treats, functional gummies, cookies, and beverages. Myprotein’s latest innovation in that category is the Crispy Square, a bar that features a nostalgic Rice Krispies Treat-like experience.

The newly released Myprotein Crispy Square is built around a base of small crunchy puff pieces jammed together to create the signature crispiness and texture of a Rice Krispies Treat. The product has a squiggle of flavor across the top and it has debuted in the one classic flavor, Marshmallow. You can purchase Crispy Square directly from Myprotein’s online store at myprotein.com where it’s not all that expensive at £14.99 (18.72 USD), and it’s not for a small box, it has the usual 12 pieces.

The weight of a single Crispy Square isn’t overly large, about half your traditional protein bar at 30g. The macronutrients squeezed into it are on the moderate side, not as lean as some of Myprotein’s other functional foods, but still within reason. Every square has 5.9g of protein, just over double that in carbohydrates with 13g, 5.6g of that sugar, 1.4g of fat, and double figure calories at 96.
