This week, some unfortunate news has come for fans of the legendary supplement company Ghost and consumers who appreciate great-tasting sports nutrition products and efficacious energy drinks. One of the many things the two-time Brand Of The Year is known for is authentic flavor collaborations, it was the first to get the ball rolling and have so much impact with the concept, that many other brands followed suit to the point where today it is common.
The news is that Ghost has ended its relationship with Mondelez, the mainstream food giant responsible for licensing several flavors with which the brand made so much noise. What this means is that you will no longer see any Ghost supplements bearing the official logo or branding of Oreo, Nutter Butter, Chips Ahoy, and the candies, Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish.
While that is a tough loss, especially for Ghost and its delicious Ghost Whey protein powder, there is still a ridiculous amount of authentic collaborations available that are just as good, prominent, and sometimes even better. The partnership products offering an authentic experience that live on include the on-point Cinnabon protein powders, the seasonal Bubblicious bubblegum flavors, Sour Strips, the various Sonic beverages, Welch’s, and the original Warheads candy.
It is worth noting, this isn’t necessarily goodbye to the flavors Ghost has used the likes of its Oreo and Nutter Butter protein powders. We’ve seen others do it before, where they carry things on under a different name; we don’t know if that’s happening here, but it is possible. We also can’t forget that Ghost was recently acquired by another giant in Dr. Pepper, which has a mountain of potential flavor partners that are now even easier to partner with like Swiss Miss, Krispy Kreme, Lipton, 7up, Snapple, Hawaiian Punch, Sunkist, and of course, the iconic Dr. Pepper.
