Superjelly makes its pre-workout debut but doesn’t really put much in it

Superjelly Pre Workout

The colorful protein powder company Superjelly came out over the last couple of weeks and confirmed that it would be moving into another popular sports nutrition category. After making a lot of noise and gaining a strong following with its protein supplements, the brand is moving into the highly competitive world of pre-workout. In the teasers, the brand did share a few of the ingredients in the formula, although because it wasn’t many, we thought there would be more.

The Superjelly Pre-Workout has since become available for purchase, and with that has come the reveal of its entire formula, and it’s not as robust as we expected. The handful of components the brand posted in its teasers are indeed all that’s in the supplement. That includes 3g of beta-alanine to support performance, a gram of taurine, and for smooth, lasting energy, you get 200mg of theanine and a precise 134mg of NewCaff, a slow, sustained-release caffeine.

There are 40 servings in every tub of Superjelly Pre-Workout, so you could double up for 6g of beta-alanine and 268mg of caffeine, but it is still a very basic, purely energy and performance competitor. The brand is known for its flavors, and it has three tasty options in that department: Passionfruit Green Tea, the soda-inspired OG Ramune, and Icy Lychee. Directly from Superjelly’s website, you’ll pay $62.99 (45.41 USD) for a full-size, and that is expensive considering what’s inside.
