Filipino retailer Supplement Hub brings its own protein and creatine to market

Supplement Hub Whey Isolate

Over in Asia, specifically the Philippines, Supplement Hub is one of the go-to spots for health, nutrition, and performance products, and deservedly so. The chain of physical locations and online store carries a host of quality brands, including the likes of Optimum Nutrition, Rule One, and MuscleTech. Also in its catalog is a Supplement Hub house brand, currently consisting of two relatively basic but essential products.

Under the Supplement Hub banner, the store has bulk, unflavored, standalone creatine, and a competitor in the most popular category around, protein powder, with Whey Protein Isolate. While quality whey isolate is in the product, it is a blend-style supplement where whey isolate and concentrate are the primary sources, providing 25g of protein per serving, only half a gram of carbohydrates, no fat, and 110 calories.

Supplement Hub Taro Milk Tea

It is worth noting that Supplement Hub’s Whey Protein Isolate does have added free-form amino acids, but we’re not sure if it’s counted toward the total protein. The retailer and brand actually have quite a few with all three BCAAs, taurine, and arginine. We have reached out to the team to ask if the aminos are counted, as you don’t often see them added and not called out for particular benefits, although alternatively, there are some added probiotics in this to help with digestion and gut health.

We’ll add to this post if Supplement Hub gets back to us on the free-form amino acids added to Whey Protein Isolate, but you can take a closer look for yourself on its website. The blend-style protein powder is up there alongside its bulk creatine, and it does have some interesting flavors. Whey Protein Isolate comes in Chocolate Butterscotch, Vanilla Lychee Flan, and Taro Milk Tea, which reflect the taste preferences in that market.
