APE review shows it does something, Athletic Edge Nutrition need to lower their price

Athletic Edge Nutrition are one of those brands that sticks to the novel side of supplements. No protein, no mainstream individuals like BCAA or glutamine pills and powders. Basically the products that push the boundaries. PreSurge may not be tipping the top 5 or maybe 10 pre-workouts, but it does have some fans and it is helping gym junkies push for that extra rep. Their most recent supplement is APE and after all the hype, a review has been done and the questions are answered.

APE has a relatively small formula. All it takes is one look at the Jack3d Micro sized bottle and you will be curious as to whether or not it is worth that $40. Like most testosterone boosters it does promote recovery, not in huge amounts but it does take muscle soreness down a notch.

The other thing this one excels at is muscle strength and performance. It does not promote a pre-workout like experience however APE can be felt in the gym. This is an effect separate from the enhanced recovery. In a way, the body performs better than it feels. At full power it will go further than usual, not with an intensity but with confidence and increased strength.

Even though the effects can be felt, following the directions on this supplement may cost you. AEN say to take 5 days out of the week, not on weekends. Which can disrupt the results. You will find that the Friday (day 5) is like a peak, when Monday (day 1) comes back around that drive and power has almost disappeared. However taken across more than 5 days, the body does get used to the effects. They do not continue to increase, they begin flat line after day 9 or 10. The regular cycling  may work for some, others may want to adjust it to suit themselves. 10 days on 5 off or even 2 weeks on 1 week off.

It is a reasonably good testosterone booster. It can get the job done and be a worthy supplement for the muscle building spot in most stacks. The downside is the price. At $40 it lands right beside products like the Nutrabolics’ 2XCs and Anatropin. Even though neither of the Nutrabolic’s formulas have been run, a lot can be said about Anatropin. The 30-$32 mark is where APE should sit, it can more than compete with Animal Stak, Endocrine-IGF and others in that price range.
