Yesterday we said details on Performix’s new pre-workout Ion were expected to come in before the supplement launches at GNC. It turns out that is exactly what’s happened as the contents of the brand’s new product have been revealed. In total the formula features nine main ingredients, eight of those wrapped in a proprietary blend and just the caffeine sitting by itself as a transparently dosed feature at 175mg. Making up Ion’s one and only 3.714g complex from top to bottom is CarnoSyn beta-alanine as predicted, citrulline malate (2:1), betaine, creatine HCl, n-acetyl l-tyrosine, Advantra Z, BioPerine black pepper also as predicted and rauwolscine (alpha yohimbine). The only patented ingredient in there that we didn’t have on our list of possibilities yesterday was Advantra Z, making it three patented features just as Performix promised. Based on Ion’s dose of caffeine the supplement is of course a maximum two scoop formula which will in turn give you 350mg of caffeine, and double the product’s blend to a much more reasonable 7.428g. Due to the price on the latest from Performix expected to be quite high, when it does arrive you may want to wait for a buy one get one deal or at least something similar. With that said GNC may very well release it with a promotion like that, but we are probably going to need to wait until next week for it to go on sale and see what offers it brings and its exact price.
