Formutech Nutrition acquired by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals

Business deals and manufacturing partnerships aren’t exactly our thing, however we feel this one is worth highlighting based on what’s been said. Today it has been announced that Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals have acquired Formutech Nutrition, once known as Fahrenheit Nutrition back in late 2012. The official press release for the merger goes over a whole lot of things, highlighting the upsides for both companies. Hi-Tech’s CEO Jared Wheat goes on to say “We believe this strategic transaction will enhance our industry-leading Sports Nutrition position by expanding market opportunities. FormuTech brings strong relationships to enhance our position with Sports Nutrition distributors, and a highly experienced management team to support Hi-Tech’s continued growth.” As for a few words from Formutech’s CEO Bruce Davis “Hi-Tech’s impeccable reputation for pharmaceutical-grade quality, strong innovation and manufacturing expertise make it a perfect complement to our business.” The big question remaining is what will the partnership bring to the Formutech line, which by the sounds of things we’re going to have to wait and see. In the press release Bruce Davis does talk about having access to Hi-Tech’s production facilities giving them the ability to put together different types of supplements, such as premixed formulas. Whether or not that is a hint at anything, as mentioned we are just going to have to wait and see what comes from the merger although feel free to check out the press release for yourself at PR Newswire.
