Archetype Sports certainly isn’t a brand you see here often, purely because it’s both small and we haven’t actually seen anything new from it in a very long time. That has all changed this week as the brand has launched a reformulated version of its pre-workout supplement Reckoning. Unfortunately due to Archetype’s website not displaying any of the product’s information, all that we really know about the updated pre-workout is that it features “8 science based ingredients”.
While the confirmation of at least eight ingredients is better than nothing, it actually almost leaves us with more questions than answers as there is no mention of what any of the eight are. Even if Archetype did name any of the eight it would need to confirm doses, as including science based ingredients is of course very different from including them at good amounts.
At the end of the day it is entirely up to you whether you trust Archetype enough to purchase the pre-workout without knowing what’s in it. If you do decide to, the brand’s website is the place to go where the reformulated Reckoning is priced at $40 a tub with two flavors to choose from in Lemonade and Fruit Punch.
Update: The label for Archetype’s reformulated Reckoning has now been uploaded, confirming a combination of two proprietary blends. You have the strength and endurance matrix weighing in at 4.5g with beta-alanine, creatine monohydrate, arginine AKG and agmatine sulfate. The second blend is where the brand has put all the stimulants with a 777mg mix of caffeine, n-acetyl l-tyrosine, DMAE and yohimbine. You can see the official label for the supplement below.
