MusclePharm’s Clean Mass almost identical to Arnold’s Iron Mass

While we didn’t actually spot anything new the first time we visited MusclePharm’s booth at the Arnold Sports Festival. It turns out the brand has actually unveiled quite a few new supplements that were either added after we dropped round yesterday, or we some how missed. The first one we have details on is Clean Mass, a gainer that has been mentioned several times over the years although only now has become a reality.

Strangely enough as new as MusclePharm’s Clean Mass is, you might actually be quite familiar with its formula. After turning the product around to see its label, we were surprisingly presented with a facts panel basically identical to that of the brand’s Arnold Series Iron Mass. The name of its 71.5g blend is in fact “Iron Mass Proprietary Blend”, which has everything that’s in Iron Mass in the exact same order with one change. The only difference we can spot is that Clean Mass has whey concentrate as its only source of protein, where as Iron Mass uses hydrolyzed beef protein.

We have added a shot of the facts panel from Clean Mass below, where you can see that the change in protein source has also resulted in a few macro differences. Instead of having 34g of carbohydrates, 4g of sugar and 485 calories like Iron Mass, Clean Mass has 36g of carbs, 5g of that being sugar, and a total of 490 calories.
