Carb Killa Go Nuts is Grenade’s vegan-friendly protein bar that is very different from its original and delicious Carb Killa. The product features an entirely different build that’s mostly made up of peanuts with a solid chocolate base and chocolate pieces throughout the bar itself.
The nutrition profile on Carb Killa Go Nuts is led by a lighter than usual 10g of protein. Its other macros are 16g of carbohydrates with 2g of that sugar and 7g fiber, 10g of fat, and a total of 180 calories. Peanuts are of course the primary ingredient in the protein bar with rice and soy protein added to give that 10g of protein per bar.
Grenade’s Carb Killa Go Nuts is a truly, what you see is what you get, type protein bar. The vegan-friendly product has a body loaded with mildly salty peanuts and not too surprisingly, they play a major role in the taste. The peanuts also give the protein snack a nice, easy to eat density that your teeth seemlessly bite into.
As mentioned earlier, there is a chocolate side to the Carb Killa Go Nuts, however, it is nothing like the sweet chocolate you get in the regular Carb Killa. The Go Nuts chocolate has more of a fudge brownie type taste and texture to it, which only seems to add density and a touch of chocolate flavor, but compliments the peanuts really well.
The mix of chocolate and peanuts in Carb Killa Go Nuts creates quite the experience that reminds us a lot of a traditional nut bar with a smoother consistency. We’d probably say the overall flavor is half chocolate and half peanuts, although that fudge brownie like chocolate is the flavor that hangs around in your mouth after each bite.
Grenade’s Carb Killa Go Nuts is a one-of-a-kind protein bar that’s not like anything else we’ve come across. It doesn’t have the sweet, candy bar like taste we’ve come to expect from the original Carb Killa protein bar, however, Go Nuts makes up for that with a more natural and wholesome flavor, topped with a great consistency.
The combination of peanuts and chocolate in Carb Killa Go Nuts makes for an enjoyable experience that simply does not disappoint. If you’re on the hunt for a vegan-friendly protein bar or are a Carb Killa fan that is interested in something different, definitely give the Go Nuts bar a try.
