The protein bar leader, Barebells, has dabbled in the world of lemon flavored products, particularly in its home market of Europe, with a Lemon Cheesecake Soft Protein Bar, Lemon Curd Barebells Protein Bar from several years ago, and even a Lemon Cheesecake Protein Shake. That signature citrusy and tart taste of lemon is now coming stateside with something completely new and not to be confused with any of those past releases.
Officially launching at the health and nutrition giant GNC is a Lemon Cheesecake Barebells Protein Bar, a lemon-themed flavor of the brand’s core protein bar, not its smoother Soft Protein Bar. This is not something the brand has done before, as again, we did see Lemon Cheesecake in Sweden not too long ago, but it was for the Soft Protein Bar. This Lemon Cheesecake is for the brand’s flagship, the Barebells Protein Bar.
It sounds like the upcoming Lemon Cheesecake Barebells Protein Bar will be exclusive to GNC, which is something we’ve seen before from the Swedish functional innovator and leading retailer in Wild Cherry. The product is hitting the market very soon, through the retailer’s 1,000s of stores across the country and its online store at gnc.com, where boxes of the delicious, candy bar-like snack, packing 20g of protein, cost $28.99.
