The Dough Bar reveals the macros for its high protein Whoopie Pie

The functional food company the Dough Bar, who makes truly incredible high protein doughnuts, has revealed details about its all-new Protein Whoopie Pie. The product is releasing this Friday, but only in a limited amount as a test run to gauge interest and take in feedback.

Like all of the Dough Bar’s products, its upcoming Whoopie Pie looks amazing and is something we hope it makes permanent after the test run. It features two chocolate chip infused coconut cakes with delicious vanilla and marshmallow cream jammed between them.

The macros on the protein treat are a bit higher than expected, with a lot more calories than either of its must-try, protein doughnuts. Each Whoopie Pie provides a strong 19g of protein, 26g of carbohydrates with 19g of that sugar, a gram of fiber, 10.5g of fat, and a total of 273 calories.

The formula behind the Dough Bar’s prototype Whoopie Pie is fairly straightforward being primarily made with milk isolate and eggs. The product will launch in just the one flavor to start, which is called Chocolate Chip Bliss, although the brand is apparently working on several others.
