G Fuel Drink Review: Sweet and smooth flavor unlike any of its competitors
The G Fuel energy drink, from the hugely popular gaming supplement company Gamma Labs, is one of the most exciting releases of the year. It has been incredibly well-received by fans of the brand after selling out in just 14 minutes on launch. It has also quickly sold out on all three occasions it’s been restocked.
The product is essentially a carbonated can spin-off of Gamma Labs’ original energy and focus enhancing G Fuel powder. While it may carry the G Fuel name, it does have a slightly different mix of ingredients. The G Fuel beverage features aminos, vitamins, antioxidants, theanine, the branded goBHB, and a strong 300mg of caffeine.
The G Fuel energy drink is unlike any other energy beverage we’ve had in terms of the overall taste. At the base of it all, there is a somewhat creamy feel to each of its four flavors. It doesn’t take away from the sweetness or strength of the taste, but it does make for an interesting, cream soda-like experience unique to the G Fuel beverage.
Layered on top of that intriguing base, the G Fuel energy drink is as we had hoped, and loaded with flavor. Our favorite two of the lot are the Rainbow Sherbet and FaZeberry. While the Blue Ice and Sour Cherry certainly aren’t bad, the former isn’t all that complete, and the latter has a very artificial type taste that we’re just not big fans of.
The Rainbow Sherbet and FaZeberry are where the G Fuel energy drink truly shines with memorable flavors. They both deliver a really smooth but strong candy taste that makes you want to keep drinking.
Their sweet smell hits you as soon as you crack open the can, and the flavor is just as good. The difference between the two is that the FaZeberry G Fuel drink has a noticeable bubblegum pop to it. As for the Rainbow Sherbet, that has more of a typical, well-rounded candy taste that also lets that creamy base play a bigger role.
When it comes to the actual benefits and effects of the G Fuel energy drink, it performs just as well as most other beverages with a heavy 300mg of caffeine. For use with work, gaming, study, or as a quick pick-me-up, it provides a hefty hit of energy with not much else being overly noticeable on our end.
The G Fuel energy drink does not disappoint, delivering a flavor experience that is unlike anything else on the market. Because of that individuality, we imagine anyone that enjoys the beverage will be quite loyal. It is that underlying creamy taste that makes the product so different, which each of the flavors plays into exceptionally well.
