Blue Star turns its Iso-Smooth protein powder into an ultra-pure whey isolate

In the past month or so, Blue Star Nutraceuticals quietly revamped one of its more premium protein powders, the now completely whey isolate-based Iso-Smooth. The brand didn’t make a lot of changes to the supplement, but the few that it did make are important, starting with as mentioned, Iso-Smooth no longer featuring a blend of protein sources.

Blue Star Nutraceuticals new Iso-Smooth still packs 30g of protein per serving, like its predecessor, but now all of that protein comes from ultra-pure BiPro whey isolate, which is 97.6% protein. The rest of the product’s formula has essentially been simplified with the brand taking out a lot of the previous version’s added ingredients such as CLA, flaxseed, and digestive enzymes.

As a result of the changes to its formula, Iso-Smooth does have a slightly different nutrition profile, and as you’d expect with BiPro in the mix, it is slightly leaner. Alongside that same 30g of protein, the Blue Star Nutraceuticals protein powder has zero fat as opposed to half a gram, 1g of carbohydrates instead of 3g, and a calorie count of 120 down from 130.

Despite everything that’s been done to Iso-Smooth, Blue Star Nutraceuticals still promises the same great flavor experience. The brand has launched the revamped protein powder in five options with Chocolate Caramel, Triple Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Vanilla Cake Batter. It is in stock now on Blue Star’s website with a 25 serving, 2lb tub at $46.99.
