Indian brand MuscleBlaze has a new product this week that is not the typical sports nutrition type effort we’re used to seeing from it. This time around MuscleBlaze’s launch is functional with Dark Chocolate Protein Peanut Butter. As the name of the product suggests, it is a peanut-based spread with extra protein and dark chocolate paste for a rich, chocolatey, high protein nut butter.
MuscleBlaze’s Dark Chocolate Protein Peanut Butter is mostly made with roasted nuts, dark chocolate paste as mentioned, and whey concentrate to give it that high amount of protein. Each two-tablespoon serving of the brand’s new product provides 8.5g of protein, so only marginally more than traditional peanut butter with 12.4g of fat, 10g of carbohydrates, 5.5g of sugar, and a calorie count of 180.
It is worth noting the Dark Chocolate Protein Peanut Butter is quite different from MuscleBlaze’s regular Protein Peanut Butter. That one is a much simpler product made with only roasted nuts and whey protein concentrate. That cleaner set of ingredients gives the peanut butter a stronger nutrition profile as well, with 11.8g of protein compared to the new Dark Chocolate’s 8.5g.
