Legendary Foods has dropped an all-new flavor for its unique, sweet, soft, and enjoyable Tasty Pastry, which is the functional brand’s protein-packed twist on a toaster pastry. The product hit the market earlier this year with a reasonable 9g of protein per pastry, a relatively high 170 calories, and two delicious flavors to choose from in Strawberry and Brown Sugar Cinnamon.
If you’re like us, you will have been a bit surprised there wasn’t anything on Legendary Foods’ Tasty Pastry menu for chocolate lovers, something you see for most protein snacks and functional foods. It turns out, that kind of flavor was coming later down the road and is precisely what the brand has dropped this week with Hot Fudge Sundae, featuring a delicious chocolate filling.
Interestingly, Legendary Foods has increased the protein by quite a bit for its Hot Fudge Sundae Tasty Pastry by more than 60% at 15g per pastry instead of 9. The rest of the product’s nutrition profile consists of 4g of net carbohydrates, 7g of fat, and a calorie count that’s also lower than either of the original Tasty Pastry flavors at 150.
You can grab Legendary Foods’ Hot Fudge Sundae Tasty Pastry covered in chocolate sprinkle icing, from its website for the same price as Strawberry and Brown Sugar Cinnamon. The product comes in boxes of ten, with the one pastry per pack, at $24.99, working out to $2.50 each. There doesn’t appear to be any deal for launch but you do get free shipping when ordering over $50.
