Muscle Nation, who was originally a fitness fashion brand out of Australia that expanded into supplements, is now looking to get into another area of sport and nutrition with functional food. Details have surfaced on two upcoming snacks from the brand with the All Natural Cookie and the All Natural Protein Bite, both of which are edible products that are high in protein.

Muscle Nation’s All Natural Cookie is essentially a protein cookie, whereas the Protein Bite is a bite more of traditional protein bar, although instead of being the usual long bar, it is a block or ‘bite’ as per its name. The macros on the products are relatively different from one another, with the soft and crumbly cookie packing the higher amount of protein by a fair margin.

The Muscle Nation Cookie comes with 18g of protein, mostly from plant-based pea protein. The rest of the numbers do vary across the product’s four flavors with 15.2g of fat, 17.1g of carbohydrates with 15g of that naturally occurring sugar, and 280 calories. Those macros are for the Choc Chip flavor, with the others being Banana Oat Choc Chunk, White Choc Raspberry, and Double Choc Brownie.

Protein Bite

As for Muscle Nation’s Protein Bite — the more, protein bar, square, or block type product — it has a lot less protein, and the nutrition varies quite a bite across its five flavors: Peanut Butter, Double Choc Fudge, Choc Mint Crisp, Coconut Slice, and Choc Hazelnut Crunch. The build of Protein Bite looks similar to the Outright Bar and RXBar, but again, the protein is not all that high.

The classic Peanut Butter flavor of the Protein Bite has 10.3g of protein, 10.4g of fat, 6.8g of carbohydrates with 3.6g of that sugar, and 197 calories. As mentioned, though, those numbers vary across the flavors, with Choc Mint Crisp providing a much lower 7.3g of protein, 11.2g of fat, and 5.1g of carbs. The Coconut Slice flavor goes lower again, however that one is so different it doesn’t have the same name, referred to as the Indulge Bite.

Launch details

Once again, Muscle Nation’s All Natural Cookie and Protein Bite are due to hit the market sometime this month with the protein cookie due to get a price of $59.99 (43.77 USD) for a box of ten. We’re not sure about the cost of Protein Bite, but we don’t imagine it landing too far from the Muscle Nation Cookie. The products will launch with variety packs as well, so you can try all of the flavors without buying an entire box.
