Plant-based functional food brand Misfits out of the UK has introduced a new flavor this week for its flagship protein bar, with 15 to 16g of protein from vegan-friendly sources and 3g or less sugar. Fans of Misfits will already know the brand has put together some intriguing flavors in its time on the market, including tasty creations such as Dark Chocolate Raspberry and White Chocolate Salted Peanut.
The new flavor revealed this week by Misfits is a chocolate twist on the classic English dessert, banoffee pie, with Chocolate Banoffee. The product rolls together all of the tastes in its title with chocolate, banana, and toffee. Its nutrition profile consists of the usual 15g of protein from pea and soy protein, a relatively light 7.5g of carbohydrates, under a gram of sugar, 9.7g of fat, and a calorie count of 184.
Misfit’s Chocolate Banoffee protein bar is actually a limited edition launch, like last month’s Dark Chocolate Gingerbread for Christmas. It is available for pre-order today at £18 (24.45 USD) for a box of 12 bars and shipping just a few days on Monday of next week.
