The low sugar, healthy candy company SmartSweets has come out with something that we have not seen before in this industry. The product is right in line with the rest of its lineup, being low sugar candy, but in a completely new format. SmartSweets has introduced SmartSweets Lollipops with 80% less sugar than your traditional sugar-filled lollipop.
A single SmartSweets Lollipop tips the scales at a light 7.2g and has only 7g of carbohydrates, half of gram of that is sugar, and just 30 calories. The product is also naturally flavored and sweetened with stevia, and uses fruit and vegetable juices for color. The lollipop is available in Blue Raspberry and Watermelon flavors, which come combined in a resealable bag.
SmartSweets Lollipops are available on the brand’s website and don’t cost all that much at $13.98 for two bags, each with 12 lollipops for a total of 24, which is 58 cents a pop. They’re a great alternative to a common lollipop, although it will come down to taste, which SmartSweets says it delivers on without any sugar alcohols, artificial sweeteners, or added sugar.
