In about one and a half weeks, Japanese brand Alpron will begin shipping a new flavor of its straightforward, whey protein concentrate-based protein powder appropriately named WPC. International brands always seem to put together very different tastes and experiences from what we typically see in North America, and that is no different in the latest from Alpron.
The flavor it has created is for White Day, which is a traditional Japanese gift-giving event that takes place exactly one month after Valentine’s Day. It is a chance for those that received gifts for Valentine’s to return the gesture and give them something in return. For the occasion, the brand has come up with a delicious-sounding Caramel Chip Cheesecake flavor of WPC.
The nutrition profile for Alpron’s Caramel Chip Cheesecake WPC includes a solid 20g of protein from whey concentrate, 2.5g of fat, 4.3g of carbohydrates, under a gram of sugar, and 121 calories.
