Bodylab improves its pre-workout but doesn’t put all that much in it

Bodylab Pre Workout

Danish brand Bodylab has put together what it’s calling its most powerful pre-workout ever, with a new and improved version of the simply named, Pre-Workout. Bodylab is more of an active, lifestyle nutrition brand, so we don’t see any common workout and sports nutrition types all that often from it, and you can kind of see that in its newest supplement.

The latest version of Pre-Workout may be Bodylab’s most powerful to date, although it’s nowhere near as advanced, comprehensive, or loaded as we’ve seen. The brand keeps things relatively straightforward, sticking to commonly used pre-workout ingredients, with some rather low dosages, including a subpar 1.2g of citrulline, compared to a competitive 6 to 8g.

The other components filling out Bodylab Pre-Workout’s formula are 300mg of glutamine, 600mg each of taurine and arginine, 200mg of choline bitartrate, a gram of beta-alanine well below the full dose of 3.2g, just a sprinkle of tyrosine at 50mg, 100mg of carnitine tartrate, and to increase energy, there is a light 100mg of caffeine.

Again, it’s far from the fully dosed pre-workouts we usually see in the sports nutrition space. While you could have more than one serving to attempt to get the dosages to a respectable level, that will, of course, bring down the value. If you had three servings, that would get you a significantly better 3.6g of citrulline, 3g of beta-alanine, and a stronger 300mg of caffeine, but you’d only get 11 servings per bag.

Thankfully the new and improved Bodylab Pre-Workout is not all that expensive directly through the brand’s website, so while more servings at one time would lead to less value, the overall cost is low. Straight from bodylab.dk, Pre-Workout will currently cost you 159DKK (20.85 USD), or 130DKK (17.05 USD) each for two, with three flavors to choose from.
